George Frasier has a dual role at Green River College. He serves as the Executive Director of the Green River College Foundation and is the Vice-President for College Advancement at GRC. The Advancement function at GRC includes the operation of the GRCF, alumni relations, marketing, and communications. George started working at GRC in 2007.
From 2011 to 2017, and again from 2019 to present, George serves as the Administrative Director for the Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound. He is an expert in non-profit management, endowment management, fundraising, planned giving, intentional relationship development, and leadership training.
Prior to coming to Green River College, George worked for 23 years in the YMCA system serving in progressively more responsible roles in the Spokane and Seattle Associations. He left the YMCA of Greater Seattle in 2007 where his final position provided leadership to two branch operations and their policy boards. The Auburn and Federal Way branches served 23,000 full and program members through the effort of 150 full and part time staff on a budget of just under $3 million.
George has a Bachelor of Science from Washington State University (1984), and an MBA from Western Governors University (2014). He is a graduate of the Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound (2004) where he was elected Class Speaker by his classmates. He is active civically in Rotary (past Club President) and is a member of the Auburn Symphony Board of Directors (past board president).
In his spare time, George enjoys bicycling, snow skiing, reading, and Cougar Football.
