The Kent Community Foundation offers ten diverse scholarships to Kent School District students headed to college and vocational-technical schools.  The KCF also awards grants for arts and education, collaborates with service clubs and community organizations to celebrate our students with a Community Event.  Has sponsored Kent Kid’s Arts Day since 1995 and Kent International Festival Art Exhibition since 2013.
Educating our community about opportunities for giving in the Greater Kent area, increasing the number of scholarship dollars awarded annually, providing fundraising avenues for nonprofits through fundraising campaigns, helping donors fulfill their philanthropic goals, and a platform for discussions with community members is our focus moving forward.

There are 28 elementary schools in the Kent School District.
Grades K-3 have a target classroom size of 23 students with a student-teacher ratio of 1:23. Grades 4-6 have a target classroom size of 27 students with a student-teacher ratio of 1:27. The highly capable program has a student-teacher ratio of 1:23. Extra assistance is available to teachers when enrollment exceeds target class sizes.

There are 6 middle schools in the Kent School District.
Grades 7-8 have a daily target load of 143 students per teacher. When class load limits are surpassed, additional assistance is provided. One of our KSD middle schools features a tech academy dedicated to transforming education through technology.

There are 4 high schools in the Kent School District.
Grades 9-12 have a daily target load of 153 students per teacher. When class load limits are surpassed, additional assistance is provided. One of our KSD high schools features a tech academy dedicated to transforming education through technology.

There are 3 academy schools in the Kent School District.
These unique schools are a blend of multiple grade levels in one learning environment. Some academies have grades 3-12, some only secondary students. Academy schools assist students with general education and credit retrieval. Our newest academy gives students who have dropped out a second chance to earn a high school diploma or GED.
